Gordon is the Owner and Managing Director
Gordon qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1994. In 2002 he took over his fathers’ traditional accountancy practice which had run for thirty years in Kirkcaldy. Gordon modernised the Firm whilst qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2004 and an NLP Master Practitioner in 2007.
Gordon’s years in practice have seen profound changes in the taxation of earnings and how we report them to HMRC under what they call a self-assessment system. This includes the introduction of IR35, the abolishment of company audit, changes in the way dividends were taxed and, briefly, a nil rate band of corporation tax. Now we have a separate Scottish tax regime and likely more changes to come
In addition to both the professional accounting and tax qualifications, Gordon is a trained business advisor. Gordon also qualified as a Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming in 2007 and has training and qualifications in Hypnotherapy and Mindfulness.
